english AA draft 3

“Muthusami! Time to go to school” Mr Bala yelled. Muthusami, a Tamil, living in Sri Lanka have a miserable life. Parents working as tea planters. Muthusami is schooling at ‘Sinhala Government School’. He has many friends but not many of his friends were Sinhalese. Off go Muthusami to school.

“Well done Muthusami, you had scored the highest in this test’’, praised the teacher. Many of his Sinhalese students were jealous of him. He was bullied and humiliated by the students over there. Muthusami tolerated all the students’ behaviour and just kept studying as he wanted to work in government jobs. The criteria for him to go into university are to score higher than the Sinhalese there.

After examinations, Muthusami topped the school and tried to go into the university. He did not get admitted into the university. Muthusami was agitated with all the rules that the Tamils must follow. Muthusami wants to join the Tamil Tigers. Kumar, Muthusami’s friend, has a father which is a Tamil Tiger. Muthusami met up with Kumar’s father.
Muthusami then became a part of the Tamil Tigers.

Muthusami trained hard in the camp. He made a promise to himself that he will fight for the Tamil’s rights. The training at the camp was intense. Uniform were covered in sweat everyday. Trained to bomb, shoot and fighting close range, Muthusami was Eveready to fight against the Sinhala.

A war broke out in Muthusami’s village. It was very chaotic. Tamil Tigers went there as fast as they could. Went they had reached that village, Muthusami ran to his house. When he reached there, he saw pools of blood from his family were on the floor. “I have failed to protect my own family. The Sinhalas will pay for this.” Murmured Muthusami. Tea planters were hiding everywhere. Bombs falling like a slight drizzle was everywhere. The loud shooting sound was like a firecracker.

In a day’s time, the war was over. Survivors from the Tamil Tigers helped out and looked for survivors before heading back to camp. The Tamil Tigers soon hopped on the truck and head back to camp site. Suddenly…

“Halt! Drop your weapons and put your hands on your head!” Said a Sinhala soldier through a loudspeaker. The Sinhala army had ambushed the survivors. It is 500 against 100. The Tamil Tigers refused to do what they were told and began shooting the ambushers. The Tamil Tigers persevered. But all the Tamil Tigers including Muthusami were dead in just less than 1 hour. Leftover arms and sources were taken by the Sinhala army.
